Maserati is owned by the multinational automotive corporation Stellantis, formed in 2021 from the merger of Fiat Chrysler Automobiles and PSA Group.
Brief History:
Founded in Bologna, Italy, in 1914 by the Maserati brothers, the company initially focused on racing cars, winning the Indianapolis 500 twice. After being sold to the Orsi family in 1937 and relocating to Modena, Maserati began producing luxury road cars alongside its racing efforts. After changing hands several times, including a period under Citroën and De Tomaso, the company was acquired by Fiat in 1993, eventually becoming part of Stellantis.
