Brief History:

Chery, which is one of China’s largest car exporters, established Omoda in 2022 as one of its sub-brands (alongside Jaecoo) specifically for export markets outside of China. It launched first in countries like Russia and Kazakhstan.

Omoda focuses on fashionable, technologically advanced crossover SUVs and is positioned as a slightly more premium offering than the main Chery brand in some markets.
