Xpeng G9: Stockholm to Gibraltar Road Trip Pt2 – Nyköping to Gothenburg
2024 Road Trip Day 1
We begin with a really an easy start, Nyköping to Gothenburg 381km.
It took 4.5 hours, with 1 charging stop that cost 28 euros.
The temperature was 7c with some rain.
How Did It Go?
When we left the Xpeng G9 Performance was 100% charged and with a light foot we could probably have made the journey to Gothenburg ferry without a stop. So a motorway range at 125kmph of 370-380km.
Not wanting to charge in Gothenburg, we stopped at Ionity Ulricehamn (Cirkle K Service station) and charged to 100%. This service station is situated in EV Charger paradise as there are also 12+ Tesla chargers plus 6 or move of other types (All Rapid).
The service station itself is clean and well stocked with a good variety of Food and Drink. After 30mins we were on our way again.
We cover the 104km to Gothenburg ferry and still had 200+km left in the battery for the next mornings drive to the next Ionity Chargers in Germany.
Arrived at the ferry ontime at 1700 with boarding 15mins later. The crossing was smooth and we disembarked 0930 in Kiel harbour.
Using the new navigation system, that came with the latest update, gave clear and correct directions, much better than the previous version
Ideally we would like to be able to add the charging stops and the destination, but as yet there is no possibility to add stops along the route. This was the same with the first version of the Kia EV6 navigation system but was added later.
Note: the in car search does not find Ionity chargers, but using the search in the App and sending this to the car was easier and worked really well.

Easy days driving ,
very comfortable car,
no charging or other issues.
