Day 3 & 4
Karslruhe to Annecy, via Switzerland 481km.
It took 5.5 hours with lots of traffic and slow in Switzerland, with 2 charging stops & cost 57 euros.
The temperature was 15-20c mainly dry.
How Did It Go?
Interesting to drive through Switzerland but with speed limited to 120 kmph and cloudy weather, it was a bit boring.
Charging at Ionity in Switzerland was again quick and seamless. The Xpeng G9 Performance is just strolling along the motorway.
With reduced speeds we reached Annecy with over 200km left in the battery. This was a pity as the hotel had access to a carpark with free slow charging. Still it was great to see the battery topup to 100% costing nothing.
So, is Annecy worth a stop over?
Annecy is no doubt a very picturesque city situatated on the edge of the Blue lake with spectacular views of the surrounding mountains.
The city is very tourist orientated with lots of restaurants. cafes, shops situated in the old towns winding streets.
We spent half a day exploring the town, plus half a day cruising the lake, and a couple of hours visiting the castle. A long walk in the sun along the edge of the lake to the Casino for a drink is all the time we needed.
However, if you want to go walking, climbing, bicycling, etc. there is much to do using Annecy as a base.
Day 3 & 4 Summary:
Xpeng G9 Performance felt constrained by the motorways in Switzerland.
Visiting Annecy was definitely worth it as it is so picturesque.
