20250617 – Nissan N7 Is It ACTUALLY Made By XPENG?

Last month, struggling car maker Nissan “STUNNED” the Electric car market by suddenly announcing the NISSAN N7 a fully electric salon at UNDER $17,000.

But is it really made by Nissan ?

This year, Nissan the Japanese car maker that has been desperately searching for a buyer or a partner. Then suddenly they have launched a brand new fully electric mid sized salon.

How can this be? Don’t new models take years to be launched? Well, maybe Nissan has taken a shortcut to making this car available now in Asia.

Well looking more closely at the video from Cars King, I really wonder if this is really a car made in China by another company that is doing really well.

Looking at some of the components of the car they look very similar to ones found in the Chinese car that I have had for the last year.

So lets take a look at the similarities.

Clue 1  the front end.

Those lights and the light bar are very reminiscent of Xpeng models and with a few cosmetic tweaks maybe…

Xpeng P7 -Front End

Clue 2 The salon design and side profile.

Xpengs cheapest vehicle the Mon M3. The shape and the tucked in lower mid section. Again with a few panel changes, it could become a Nissan.

Clue 3. The door openers.

Levered in the same way, with the same shape and similar dimensions.

Xpeng G9 Door Openers

Clue 4. Info Screens.

The main screen and the drivers screen   look identical plus the layout of the screen options looks very familiar to that of an Xpeng. In addition the style and shape of the steering wheel plus the dual phone chargers very similar.

Is it Confirmed? this NISSAN is REALLY an XPENG!

IMO this looks too much like an Xpeng to have been made by Nissan.

Given the quality and the flexibility of Xpeng, I REALLY this this is made by them.

What do you think? A True “Nissan” or a badged “XPENG“?
