Xiaomi EVs are produced by Xiaomi Auto (Xiaomi Automobile Co., Ltd.), a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Chinese consumer electronics company Xiaomi.
Brief History:
In March 2021, Xiaomi announced its entry into the electric vehicle (EV) market, with a significant investment plan.Xiaomi Automobile Co., Ltd. was officially established in September 2021.The company has set up its manufacturing base in the Beijing Economic and Technological Development Zone.Their first EV, the Xiaomi SU7, was unveiled in December 2023, and officially launched in March 2024.In July of 2024, Xiaomi auto gained independant car making qualifications. Xiaomi has continued to release new versions of the SU7, such as the SU7 ultra. Xiaomi has seen significant sales of the SU7, and has set increasing production goals.
