Brief History:
Founded in 1986 by Li Shufu as a refrigerator parts manufacturer, Geely entered the motorcycle industry in 1994 and the automotive industry in 1997. In 2001, it became China’s first private carmaker. Zhejiang Geely Holding Group was established in 2003. Geely has since grown through strategic acquisitions, including Volvo Cars in 2010, and now manages numerous brands like Geely Auto, Lynk & Co, Zeekr, and Lotus, becoming a significant player in the global automotive market with a strong focus on EVs and sustainable mobility.
