The Chinese car company LEVC, formerly known as The London Taxi Corporation Limited, is wholly owned by Chinese automaker Geely.
Geely acquired the maker of London’s iconic black cabs in 2013 and rebranded it as LEVC in 2017.
Brief History:
Despite significant investments, LEVC has not yet turned a profit2. The company produces London’s famous black taxicabs and has expanded its portfolio to include electric commercial vehicles like the LEVC TX range-extended electric taxi and the LEVC VN5 electric van1. Recently, LEVC also revealed the L380 electric people carrier for the Chinese market1.
